Booking Policies During COVID-19 Outbreak

Dear Ondevan Campers,

We’re so sad to see so many trips affected by this virus. It’s definitely not something we planned for in 2020. As a small business, we are trying to respond in a way that not only protects our travelers now, but also ensures that Ondevan Campervan can make it through these hard times and make memories for future travelers once this pandemic is over. 

We have tried to come up with a solution in line with other larger travel companies, such as the airlines and cruise lines and as a small business (we just had our 3 year anniversary!) trying to deal with this unforeseen crisis. We would like to continue providing our services and growing our business with you. Thank you.

Until further notice we will be following the below cancellation policy

  1. If a cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to your check-in date, you will be given the option to either: 

    1. Receive a 50% refund of your booking and a 50% travel voucher for the next 12 months

    2. Receive a 100% travel voucher that can be claimed up to 2 years from your original check-in date

  2. If a cancellation is made within 14 days or less of your check-in date, you will have the option of a travel voucher that can be used within 2 years of your check-in date

  3. For reservations made after April 1st, you will be able to reschedule it for the next 12 months after your road trip start date for no extra cost. This way, if plans change due to COVID-19 related issues you can reschedule your road trip adventure for a new safe date

  4. We have also discounted our daily rates and you will see the new discounted rates upon requesting a new quote.

Deep campervan cleaning & health safety

Please rest assured that all of our vans undergo a thorough cleaning upon their return to Ondevan Campervan. We are being especially careful to ensure that all high contact areas are being disinfected, as well as add-on accessories. Linens and kitchenware are washed at high temperatures with soap which is shown to be effective against the virus. 

Our updated deep cleaning process follows these 3 steps:

  • Surfaces and all touch points are cleaned with disinfectant detergent
  • Surfaces and all touch points are sprayed with diluted Clorox disinfectant solution and left to saturate for 5 mins before wiping off
  • Finally, Fantastik All-Purpose Cleaner with Bleach or Clorox Disinfectant wipes are used to wipe all the contact areas

  1. We are really hoping that South America does not force us to stay in Colombia. We are scheduled for 4 April pickup. So far Avianca has not cancelled our flight…we are still ok to fly but not sure If Miami will allow us entry. We shall keep you updated. Andre and Avril
